  • Goodbye Honda CRV-Hello Ford Fusion! - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

This car is the real deal. After 3,000 miles we have been averaging 39mpg, mostly highway driving. With very little effort, I have been able to achieve 45-47mpg on 40 mph roads. Quality, Economy, Technology, this is a car that FMC should be proud to build! I hope to see more hybrids offered from Ford in the near future. I havent missed my 2005 CRV for a minute!

Weve owned our Ford Fusion Hybrid for about a week now. Its a great car; it drives well, looks great, and is so much better for the environment than regular cars. The tax break was nice too. We love it.

Like most here, we were looking for a Hybrid or other fuel efficient car, but it had to have all luxury appointments. Traded out a Mercedes for the Fusion. (THINK ABOUT THAT !) Because we drive under 10k miles/year, all highway, and we questioned whether we should just purchase a new luxo- cruiser or go Green. We chose to split the difference. After short-listing the expected cars, we drove this Fusion Hybrid in full-tilt trim. Almost on the spot, we were sold. Expected fears of buying American, build quality, reputation, status, etc weighed on us, but this car has the goods. Seriously. Drive one. This car is much better than the Mercedes it replaced.

Had this car 1 week. drives like a dream, elec to gas to elec motors are fantastically not detectable. Smooth seamless shifts with trany. I have city mpg of high 40s with careful acceleration. Combined city hwy gets 42+ mpg. Love the back up camera (502A pkg)in the Navigation screen! The side warning radar feature is accurate and reliable.

  • Pleased with performance so far... - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

Being skeptical of Ford quality after a bad experience with a 2002 model, I have been plesantly surprised by the overall performance as well as the fit & finish on this vehicle. CVT is new for me, but the engine has the torque to accellerate fairly quickly. Love the SYNC system although it is not flawless. Sound system is solid and interior finishes, although not mind blowing, have a nice high quality feel to them. The Hybrid drive is smooth and switches from gas to electric mode seamlessly. Definitely very pleased both with the driving experience and at the pump after putting 5,000 miles on it. Highly recommend this vehicle to anyone considering a hybrid. BY the way, the Prius is UGLY

  • First timer for Ford - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

I have previously owned Toyotas- Corolla, Camry, and 4 Runner. I thought I would remain a Toyota loyalist until I test drove the Ford Fusion Hybrid. I havent had it a full month yet, but I already average 38-40 MPG. I commute mostly highway and experience both great gas mileage and comfort. I never thought I would say I like an American car better than I liked my imports. You did it, Ford!!! Great job and continued success.

  • Poor Gas mileage - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

Ive had my 2010 Fusion Hybrid for 6 months and only get 31 mpg city/hwy. From everything I read Im one of the very people owners that is getting this low of mileage! Dealer said that because I drive a short distance around town, that is what I will expect. I have driven 60 mi. plus and still cant get over 31 mpg. Ford advertised with city driving, you would expect the best gas mileage, not mine! I have talked to Ford Corp. and depending who you talk to Ive gotten contradicting explanations. This is my only complaint with the car, but I bought it thinking I would get much better gas mileage, like reported. I cant imagine if I drove in cold weather what I would get.

  • Excellent American car - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

I have never owned an American car before but always hoped I would find one worth buying. The 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid is that car! Exterior styling draws attention and lots of positive comments. The interior is roomy enough for my wife and I as well as for our 2 teenage sons. The interior materials and well fit and finish are excellent. The Fusion Hybrid draws you into the fuel economy game with great information delivered via a great looking instrument panel. The technology offered with the Nav system / Sony sound package is top notch. Love the Sync system. FF Hybrid is fun to drive, comfortable and looks great - by the way it is easy to beat the EPA estimates!!

  • Best of all - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

I traded my Prius for this car because the Fusion is so superior. Its more comfortable, quieter, better looking, the radio is better, it gets better mileage and is just plain more fun. Bottom line, you cant go wrong here. Dump your existing hybrid and get the fusion. For sure.

  • 3 years-20000miles - 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

No major problems. Avg. 38 mpg. 52 in town, 43mpg to airport, 33 in winter(gas engine must run to heat coolant for heater). Good looking vehicle. Comfortable seating and ride. Fun to drive. Doesn`t save you any money. $8000 premium(only $500 Federal rebate) for hybrid, means at $4/gal you must drive this car 80,000 miles to start to break even(2000 gal times 40 mpg.)Cons-The brakes squeak horribly. The dealer saids to live with it. Claims the brake pad material is at fault. The A/C is dodgy. Somedays the car doesnt cool sufficiently. There is no cargo net or gas cap. The front end is all plastic. Rolled into a protruding trailer hitch at 3 mph and did $1400 damage.
